Grass-fed/finished beef suet tallow:
Tallow is the purified fat source from cows and contains proteins that are essential building blocks of every cell membrane in your skin. The fats help to absorb minerals, provide energy, and contains the vitamins D, A, K, & E making it incredibly healing for your skin. Despite popular belief, tallow is not greasy and won’t clog your pores. In fact, it will help regulate sebum production and assist in shrinking enlarged pores. Additionally, the composition of tallow helps to replenish the skin with essential fat-soluble vitamins, resulting in improved overall skin appearance and repairing the skin’s barrier, improving the skin's resistance to stress, toxins, and pollutants. Squalane:
When applied to the skin, squalane mimics your skin’s natural oils, making it one of the healthiest, non-toxic emollients, smoothing and softening your skin. It’s also a powerful antioxidant protecting your skin from damaging free radicals. Regular use can boost collagen production, increase elasticity, reduce redness, and helps slow down transepidermal water loss thus boosting skin moisture, resulting in a complexion that looks radiant and nourished.
Tucuma butter:
Tucuma butter has a silicone-like behaviour leaving your skin with a natural gloss. It is a rich source of vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant that helps treat a variety of common skin concerns such as acne, early signs of aging, evening skin tone and texture, and protecting your skin from damaging free radicals. Tucuma butter is also potent in lauric, myristic and oleic acids, boosting hydration and the integrity of the skin's barrier.
Calendula:
This stunning gold flower has been used since at least the 12th century for its powerful medicinal properties. Calendula has high amounts of flavonoids, a type of antioxidant found in plants that protect cells from damaging free radicals, toxins, stress, and pollutants. It increases blood flow and oxygen when applied topically to accelerate wound healing and skin cell regeneration. It has also been shown to improve skin firmness and boost hydration. It can also be used to treat common inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis.
Wild harvested rosehips:
Rosehips contain a form of Vitamin A called Tretinoin which has been shown to have strong anti-aging effects. They are a rich source of linoleic and oleic acids, strengthening your skin's barrier and accelerating skin cell regeneration. Rosehips are also high in beta-carotene, evening skin tone and reducing the appearance of age spots.
Vetiver:
Vetiver plays an important role in restoring the natural pH level of the skin, boosting skin cell regeneration, and is credited to even skin tone and texture. Vetiver is considered to be a natural astringent to help tone, tighten, and shrink pores, diminishing the cell gaps after cleansing, reducing the penetration of impurities.
Jasmine:
Jasmine contains powerful emollient properties, boosting hydration, alleviating dryness, and improving overall skin texture. It is also antibacterial, and antifungal helping to clear and prevent breakouts.
Gotu Kola:
This powerful herb contains the compound triterpene saponins and phytonutrients that support compromised skin making it incredibly helpful in facilitating healing in damaged skin. Gotu kola is also very anti-inflammatory, reducing visible signs of irritation, redness, and uneven skin tone.
